Description
Experienced sailors can sense a well-cared-for sailboat upon approach from the dock or launch – especially in a racing sailboat. Great boats display their thoughtful ownership and updating, and it is obvious. Haven is such a J/100, featuring a 2015 Jet Black Awlgrip hull, custom Mars Metals shoal keel, Hall tapered carbon fiber mast, rod rigging, extensive, updated sail inventory with newer Doyle CS Carbon Race Radial Main & Jib, glistening re-finished toe rail, color chartplotter / GPS, and lots more. All sails and all cushions are properly stored off the boat in bags. The head has not been used. The picture is clear.
Sailing World writes, in its evaluation for the 2005 Boat of the Year Competition, glowingly:
“J/100 - The Perfect Day Racer/Weekender with all the ingredients for a winning Boat of the Year formula: looks, simplicity, speed, and price.” She “turns on a dime,” and “Downwind is fun.” “It is aesthetically pleasing…” with “superb sailing characteristics… making the J/100 the clear choice to be our Overall Winner in The 2005 Sailing World-Boat of the Year Competition.”
The first to inspect Haven in person will make her a part of their family.

Kevin joined East Coast Yacht Sales after having had a successful, nearly three-decade career in yacht brokerage at another upper bracket broker/dealer in New Jersey. Among Kevin's professional distinctions is having served on the Yacht Broker's Association of America Board of Directors, a peer-elected position. Kevin is a Florida-licensed broker and is the only Certified Professional Yacht Broker working in New Jersey.
Kevin grew up in Maryland, sailing out of Annapolis, and has lived aboard, sailed all over the world, delivered boats to and from the Caribbean, and more. His industry contacts are vast. Kevin has sold boats from as far away as Australia and the Med. The 'just right' sailboat, dayboat or motoryacht is out there for most boaters. Kevin will find it for you, or find the right buyer for your boat!
A sailor by nature and practice, Kevin's best skill set may be on display in the galley. Kevin and his wife have travelled extensively, volunteered abroad and here at home, and have studied and sampled multiple cuisines, learning that the best way to appreciate a culture other than one's own is in the galley or kitchen, or around the dining room or cockpit table. When not boating or actively selling boats, Kevin and his wife Joan are either looking after their bees, or growing organic berries and fruits and veggies at their home in Little Silver, New Jersey.
