Description
"Little Wing" is perhaps the best example of the sought after two cabin version of the Bruce Nelson designed Catalina 42.
This is only a two owner boat and during her life with the first owner, she rarely left the dock.
The current owner and his wife have taken exceptional care of this boat and have maintained her meticulously and consistently upgraded her since they purchased it 14 years ago. As en example of their attention to detail can be found in the hand carved Catalina logo inlay in the main salon table.
With a roller furling genoa and roller furling main with all control lines led aft to the cockpit, she is exceptionally easy to sail within the security of her hard-top dodger. With a shoal draft (4'-10") wing keel she is the perfect boat for gunk-holing along the New England coast or island hopping in the Bahamas or Caribbean.
Some of the notable recent improvements include:
- New hard-top dodger, 2024
- Newly refinished cabin sole, 2024
- 2 New coats of varnish on exterior brightwork, 2024
- New "Flag Blue" Awlgrip paint job, 2023
- New bow pulpit and lifelines, 2023
- New AGM batteries, 2022
- New Refrigeration, 2022
- ... and more!
You would be hard pressed to find another Catalina 42 Mark 1 in this near perfect condition.
